Not really. Acid rain is basically sulfuric acid: the SO2 realeased by factories blends with hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) from the atmosphere to form H2SO4.

Acid rain was the main cause for many ancient monuments, like stone Egyptian pyramids and the marble-based Greek temples, to disappear. Sulfur blends horribly with those two things.
