Reply to Glitches in the game??

hi,
I just downloaded this DMod, and am having problems viewing it. I have this white bar that runs across the whole top of the screen with bits of code in it, and things get blocked out on the screen with purple boxes (usually where there is money that can be picked up. I am also being kicked out of the game when talking to people in the town (like I see others have mentioned)
I don't seem to have any problems playing so far (as long as I don't talk to anyone) but the glitches on the screen are annoying. Did I do something wrong downloading it? Has anyone else had this problem? Is it fixable or should I just erase it and try again?
