He appears in the Odyessy and the Aenid, and was described as the "craftiest of men". Often spelt "Sisyphus". He was the King of Corinth (Greek City - each city liked to have a King it seems). He ravished Anticlea, mother of Odysseus, and wife of Laetes. He also ravished his niece Tyro (gotta love those Greeks), she in tern killed all her children by him. After his death he insulted Pluto, accused Zeus of raping Aegina (he should talk) and was therefore condemned to roll the stone up the hill in Hades for eternity, as it keeps rolling back down...
