I know this won't be much help, and I don't know any sites, but surely the lack of social interaction (socialization) would be harmful to a childs development.
The education system plays a large part in teaching us the unwritten laws of how we can/should behave. In other words, we shouldn't be homeschooled because they couldn't brainwash us then. Unless they had a ray gun...
