It has been a long time since the music industry was what it pretended to be.(mabey it never had integrity, who knows?) I still think the main problem is the civil courts. Check out the "Stella awards". Some people sue not because they should, but just because they can, and the courts seem to reward "legal aggresion".
The doctors in LasVegas emergency hospitals once went on strike for a day just because thier malpractice insurance cost them almost as much as they earned!. Now some in the music industry will sue just because they make so much money they can afford to sue.
