Reply to Charon Kills me everytime.

I have now the skull from the dragon and I have picked the lock and found the place where there is a message saying only the strong of heart may enter. That puts me in contact with Charon. But, Charon just kills me and I get the message to load a previously saved game or quit. I have tried this a few timws, same result. I repeat I have the skull.
