I generally avoid this. The international court of justice has the means to hold you accountable for unauthorized use of assets.
Most fall into two license categories:
KMF - Kiss My Feet
WUMTS - warm up my toilet seat.
Normally it wouldn't be a problem for me to do those things to gain access to these assets, but dmoders tend to be all across the world, and paying for airplane tickets to do those things can get really expensive :/

But always check with site admins, just to be safe.
