9/11 was a terrible day for the U.S, where thousands died in the destruction of one (well... two...you get the idea) of America's most famous buildings.
Of course thousands die everyday, but in the western world, it's not very common for planes to be flown into buildings, leaving people the choice of either to be burned/crushed to death, or leap to their doom.
I'm sorry if I'm being a bit OTT, but I find it hard to believe that just 2 years on from one of the BIG disasters of recent history, and you want to just forget about it, and not remember those people.
