I like the idea.
Since most people only write a reply when they actually have something interesting to say - unless you are Skurn (jk jk), it would be nice if people could drop a quick like to show they have been there, read your post and appreciated it.
I would have liked posts where someone asked an interesting Dink programming question and then also liked the reply that answered it, even if I had nothing to add to the thread to be worth a reply.
Simonk's post in the Upcoming Dmods thread about possibly releasing Necromancer this year has only one reply, but I'm sure it would have had a dozen likes at least.
The way I see it, this is not about turning TDN into Instagram and popularity contests. When making dmods is so hard and staying motivated is even harder, reducing the barrier of entry for people to send positive nods to each other doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. And I think many would agree this community often needed and needs some positivity.
