You get hernias, I get migraines. 
I prefer not to die a lot, too. Once I fought an end boss that kept zinging me with magic that I found no way to dodge. Eventually I just gave up and never finished the game.
I also prefer fewer, tougher bosses. Sometimes with a large number of enemies, with the only difficulty factor being their sheer number, the ol' attack-retreat-wait, attack-retreat-wait strategy gets a little boring.
