If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Gave it a little go on Windows 10, and upon launch it didn't autodetect my existing dink installations. Maybe it's not supposed to do that, but it'd be nice if it did, rather than suggesting a redownload.
I believe you did test AppImages on the Steam Deck at some point, and didn't report any issues with launching, only with UI elements. The one caveat with AppImages is that they require the full path for -g rather than relative which it seems to have handled.
