Yeh, this Dmod makes use of external procedures a lot. So it's not just the tile puzzle I'd be worried about. If you continue playing in that broken Linux version, you will probably encounter game breaking bugs and other strange minor bugs caused by that.
EDIT: Version 1.08 released. It is recommended to upadte your Charlie's Legacy install before continuing your save. It's again, nothing major though.

You will be thankful for solving the first tile puzzle properly. If you bypass it, you get penalised by not getting any hints (unless you go back and solve it properly)
