Most my mates around the same age have lost their jobs over this, some of them without any compensation either as they were on zero hours contracts. I'd just started working nightshifts at a nearby supermarket a few months before this reached the UK, so I'm one of the lucky few still in work/unlucky few still needing to travel.
While not anyone I know first-hand, apparently a young kid of a family friend has been hospitalised with the virus now. I also know quite a few people around the area who've developed a bit of a cough like you mentioned Sparrowhawk, so I do wonder whether it could be Covid's milder symptoms. Shame there's no real way to get tested at the moment. Supposedly Amazon is due to start sending out home test kits soon which will be handy.
