The Dink Network

I remember being in School when it happened. Everyone who was an adult was freaking out and us kids were trying to figure out what was wrong. The next day, there was this huge assembly about it, I remember being bored because most assemblies are either sports related or kids receiving awards I'd never get because the school district's superintendent was hell-bent on making my family suffer for some reason I still don't understand to this day.
In any case, while I did feel sad for people cause they died, ultimately it never really effected me. Like, people freakin' died, and I couldn't really drum up the sympathy other people felt for their families.
Hell, even when I would be outwardly vocal about anything related to it, ultimately it was all a show, a means for me to show people, 'Hey, I care about this thing, so don't lynch me for not actually giving a crap'.
