Note: This is just a friendly topic for everyone to just state what they believe in, how that belief has influenced their life, history regarding certain or all beliefs, how others have treated them regarding this belief, and any personal experiences they've had with that belief itself, or with people in regards to that belief.
Now, a belief can constitute anything that may or may not be proven to exist by current unbiased science. (Well, at least as unbiased as it can be.)
This can range from anything from religion to small spiritualistic ideas.
The only stipulation I ask is that each of us respect the others in regards to their beliefs and not insult others for having a certain belief, and certainly no asking questions with the intent to cause discourse.

Personally, I'd like to start, though given that most of my statements regarding any belief I've had, whether personal or simply through observation, (regardless of any evidence given,) have usually been ridiculed by at least three people. (Not to mention the occasional private message that's basically someone stating that things I believe in don't exist or otherwise is stupid and illogical.)
Anyway, I tend to ramble, even in my side thoughts. So I'll cut to the chase.

I am apatheistic, (does not care if there is a god or not,) I believe in ghosts, I believe in magic, and I believe that I am, non-physically, non-human. (As everyone knows.) I also follow a personal spiritual path that centers around understanding myself and where I fit in in the world.

All of these are interconnected and span most of my life. Hell, even my Therianthropy was noticeable for most of my life in retrospect.
I was raised Christian in the typical setup. Loving mother, somewhat cold and apatheistic father. I went to various churches, memorized most of the hymns, probably know most of the holiday stories. All willingly. Mom approved, Dad didn't care.
Eventually, that became less important in my life, though I did occasionally pray.
When I was really young, I encountered a shadow child. Up to that point, I could definitely see spirits, though not all of the time. After that, I closed off every sense I had regarding the spiritual realm, and basically became blind, deaf, and numb to that aspect of existence.
I awoke as a Wolf Therian on March 1st, 2008, which coincides with my mother's birthday. (An awakening, for reference, is merely a moment of 'oh' when you realize that something applies to you.)
I frequented Therian sites, some that went away, some that were fledgeling, and learned more about myself in that regard.
It's only been recently that I stopped following the Christian (or any Judaic-based) faith, mostly for personal reasons, that I've taken to studying magic, more as a way to control the innate energies within myself, and to open myself up once more to the plane of existence that I'd sealed myself away from for so long.
Along my long and typical journey of self discovery, I met with my first spirit guide, whom I call Jag for simplicity's sake. (Generally, a Guide or other being that is there to assist you will not give you its name, unless they trust you, and telling another person their real name is a huge betrayal.) Jag is a wolf, and he often chats with me, teaching me to trust and understand my instincts. The other is a black panther who calls himself Talon, (see prior note,) and that's all I can really say regarding that.

Anyway, that's all I really need to say in regards with that, and if you have any questions, ask. I can't promise that I'd answer all of them, or acknowledge any negative comments. I look forward to the experiences of everyone else.
