As in, the screen is black with nothing to click on and the only thing visible is the version number on the bottom?
That is actually a familiar problem, although only in the old days when dmods were simple .zip files... (some people would zip up their entire dmod folder rather than only the contents, and so when you extracted the dmod it would end up with an extraneous folder such as Dink Smallwood\catdmod\catdmod\, rather than just Dink Smallwood\catdmod\)
If you go to your Dink Smallwood folder, are all the dmod folders there?
If yes, the only other thing I can think of is to run dink.exe, then try to play a dmod through DFArc again.
