Starcraft still gets the edge for me over Warcraft II or Warcraft III, though they all have their own flavor that makes them unique so that I enjoy them all. I haven't really played many newer RTS games so I can't say if there have been any newer ones that are absolutely great. I guess the newest RTS I've played and liked a lot would be Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge and that's not exactly new.

Well, when I get the proper resources, I'm going to make the best RTS game to ever grace the planet Earth.

I wish you luck! It will not be easy to get everything perfect (Hell, even AI is tough to do).
