If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I've noticed WDE+1 also had most of the hardness disappear in the editor if you run games in full screen while the editor is open. It's some sort of a visual bug, since everything will again be like normal when I close and start the editor again though (no hardness gets completely erased).
