There is actually a fair amount of people actively working on a dmod. I know there's the "Upcoming dmod list" but at least 75% of those are never going to be released.
I'm guessing there's about 6 dmods currently being made. So assuming people finish them, there should be a decent number coming out next year. I find it unlikely any will be coming out this year, but you never know.
