Personally I think the Dual Shock for the Playstation 1 and 2 is great. I don't like the R2/L2 buttons on the DS for the PS3 as they're slippery. They are certainly not "the worst controllers ever" as you claim.
The one on the left the original Duke controller that a real mans controler it literally made the PlayStation controler for little girls
