I share the belief that the XBox One is not a particularly appealing console. I will admit that MS is taking a risk that could pay out in the long run, by expanding the XBox's marketed audience. The problem? They already have PC/Windows which does everything they are trying to make XBox do...It's like they are trying to compete with themselves or something. For me though, it will be PS4 all the way (for the record, I also went for the PS3 over the XBox 360 or even XBox original (I can't call it 1 now! STUPID NAME))

There are some games in this next generation I'm really looking forward to. For the Wii U There is the Smash Bro's game of course, seeing that I love Brawl and Melee and the original. The new Donkey Kong game and Super Mario 3D World looks neat too, with the latter implementing 4-player multiplayer in a fully 3d environment, and including Peach as playable character for the first time in a main game since Super Mario Bros. 2 (including the gliding, hell yeah)! Not to mention Monolith Soft is making a new RPG (the people who made Xenoblade on the Wii). On Playstation 4 I'm really looking forward to Final Fantasy XV (formerly Versus XIII) and to a lesser extent Kingdom Hearts 3. Watch Dogs and Beyond: Two Souls don't look bad either. There are probably some other games I've missed too, so I'm kind of looking forward to next generation from a games perspective. Especially FF XV, which just looks like everything I've wanted from a Final Fantasy game since FF9.

From a console perspective I kind of agree with Skull in that neither one seems like as much of a jump as we've seen from previous consoles. But with graphics getting so close to as fine as our eyes can see, and sound quality increasing to where our ears can hardly percieve the difference, I didn't really expect a huge jump in the gaming experience. If anything, I think the changes in coding and how difficult games are to make are the biggest breakthroughs being made now. The main reason I will have to get a newer console will simply be to play some of the great new games that are hopefully being released.

Edit: Can't wait to see what all the other new characters will be in the next Smash Bros. game! Megaman was an awesome choice although I wonder if he might be a bit overpowered.
