I'm usually okay with balloons, when they're floating there peacefully, minding their own business. But I am scared of them in some cases, mostly while people are blowing them up a little too much or actively trying to pop them. I just don't like loud, sudden noises. The suspense in those cases is pretty annoying.
well i can be around balloons for a moment but just a short while is my limit. if it where possible to 100% avoid them in my life i'd gladly do it but that is impossible
and well i wanna overcome my fear for 'm but i know it will be very hard and the thing is the next of the 5 steps of a method i know is touching those nasty poppers(still too intimidating for me as they look like they will pop the instant i touch 'm). on your dislike of that suspene of someone blowing one up till it pops dunno if it is phobic but in that you are much braver than me. if i see anyoene blowing any air in a balloon i'm outta there don't wanna be near it at all.
Are you scared of balloons when they're in movies, like Up? There are ... a few in that one.
in movies and such they don't bother me as much as the real deal but still scary a bit. digital renditions, drawings, pictures and alike are a little easier to look at but still look so ready to pop to me even if i know they won't. tried watching a few balloon popping video's only lasted like 5 seconds and than i couldn't take it anymore just too nasty. and on the movie up saw some previeuws and though the ammount of balloons disgusts me if not too much in the movie i might be able to enjoy watching it besides the balloon having scenes.
Edit: Oh, and how about fireworks? I used to be scared of those.
