Being a nOObie is not derogatory or demeaning, it's just a simple fact. To me, it just means you are new to the site. No put-down, no insult, just a gentle ribbing of the new guy. After all, Don't ya'll watch commercials? The new guy always buys the hamburger! (Sometimes a commercial can be more entertaining than the show---'can you hear me now'?)
