How does acknowledging a weakness make it a strength?
It takes courage to admit you have a problem; no one wants to be depressed, so one keeps denying it. Honestly admitting that you do have a problem is usually an empowering sensation, rather than a further descent into whatever bog you're struggling in. I'm not sure I would say that the actual depression becomes a strength, but you can certainly *draw* strength from the fact you have a problem. I.e. I'm going to deal with this shoot with zeal and be better for it, muthaducka! (-> boom, depression over

Of course, if you don't feel like saying you're depressed, it's also entirely possible you aren't really that depressed. *shrug* No way for me to know, the only thng I can suggest is trying to look at yourself as objectively as possible.
