Tal may not care for this site anymore. He did care about it back in the day, but you can't blame a person for growing out of something. That's completely normal. None of us will be here forever, and the day when this site ends will come sooner or later (hopefully later). However, you *can* blame Tal for completely abandoning the site without giving power to other people first (actually, I don't think he has that power but he could've asked Dan). That's when the real assholish thing was committed, and that's why I've lost nearly all respect for him. Just because he doesn't care about this site anymore doesn't mean others don't. He was very stupid and selfish.
