So the code is totally different, but Paul's is still the 'spiritual ancestor'. Maybe I should have put more emphasis on that but I thought it was more respectful to avoid potentially having to point out the silly error.

I don't understand what's disrespectful about pointing out an error, as long as you don't do it in a nasty manner. This is my idea of respect: Give credit for anything that you used or that inspired you, then do whatever you like.

Even if I didn't show proper respect, it's a moot point on what proper respect is. You can see what I meant with the health bar example. I could have just written it myself but instead I used the existing one, called mine a "fairly heavily modified version" in the readme and even put that credit on the intro screen of my DMOD.

There would have been nothing disrespectful with just writing it yourself, and crediting Magic / Rabid for the original work, though.

There is no point continuing if you are going to unreasonable by ignoring my comments by making jabs at me.

Hmm, well I'm not too proud of my last few posts. I kind of lost the overall focus on what I was trying to get across, and it's meaner than it needs to be. Often happens with the unholy quotefest discussion format.

Yes, that is exactly what it is about. It's obvious you feel disappointed that your file isn't loved by everyone.

I agree that is at the heart of it. Like I mentioned before, this really does remind me of a father who is a bit overprotective over how perfect his boy is. =)
