Just noticed your post. You must have posted as I was typing my last one.
I just tried your idea. It didn't help. Actualy right now I had just version 1.06 installed, since I had de-installed and re-installed Dink. But I didn't re-install the patch yet. So I just re-installed v1.07 patch. And well same problem. Still can't get any of the mods to work (other then Mystery Island that comes with the main game. )
