Actually, Vampire Knight still hold to the 'dracula' type, aside from burning.
These Vampires don't sparkle, they kick ass, they've got magical powers, and everything makes more sense. Just because they've got girls after them doesn't mean that they're Twilight quality. VK is one of my favorite Animes, next to Wolf's Rain, Soul Eater, and a few other really good shows. Unlike Twilight, Vampire Knight is filled with intrigue, a much more subtle romance, and a good storyline. Twilight is filled with constant quotes from Wuthering Heights, a book I've heard is better than the whole danged series, romance that is stockholm syndrome at best, and bad writing. Seriously, Vampire Knight at least has a skilled writer behind it. Also, wasn't Dracula capable of making the ladies swoon so he could drink their blood?
