Okay. So based on what you said, I'm guessing that Sword is either from another universe within this multiverse, or in a different universe in another multiverse.
Going with this, you and Sword have a connection, whether it is a connection similar to me and the characters I write about or he is a headmate of some sort has yet to be explained.
I'm guessing that Sword has no knowledge of Nexuses, the Between, or the Guardians that protect all that is or ever will be and may have chalked the connection up to different planet, same universe.
I am, of course, serious about what I am saying since I've had a few conversations in my shamanic space with a few of my characters, even dove into a few worlds while writing my books to give the characters a few hints on what they need to do, but only when they are utterly lost or confused. (That hasn't sat well with Virgil, a Guardian who is bound to Keaton-sar'Varin, who exists in the multiverse where my 'Unfound' series originates.)
Of course, I could be mistaken and Sword could be a Writer, then he might know a few things about the Multiverses.
