I'll admit its the truth. We spend a lot on our military, but if we didn't, you would all be speaking Russian right now. 
Why get all pissed off? We love our liberty and are willing to die to save it, so let us. Be as pacifistic as you like, but know that all choices have consequences. If another countries army sets foot on our soil, I will lay down my life to defend my loved ones, and I would like to have a few big guns behind me to help. I don't agree with everything my government does with our army, but I still feel better knowing it's there.
