Shoot. It's easy too explain: Some random space man named Bluz Vlasfgorv (or some such equally unpronounceable Russian name) merely became caught in the pull of the black hole and was pulled inward toward the event horizon, resulting in a time/space phenomenon which hurtled him back through time to our present. The only way to escape of course was to set up a counter reaction to give him enough push to escape. The only thing on the ship that was just the right weight to get him free was his lunch, a grilled cheese sandwich. And that's how the grill cheese sandwich got in the black hole.
