Love! True love!
So all Steam lets you do is play games that you can buy for consoles?
Isn't that true for any game you buy for the PC?

It's like a PSP, or a DS or an iPad/phone/pod/whatdoesitmatter.
I would rather play online or offline games on my computer than any of those.

All they do is let games that already exist for one console, be carried with you all the time. Those who carry games with them all the time, I call addicts.
Well, yeah. It saves your library. It's like walking around with a sack of games. However, the games are digital downloads, so you don't run into problems like scratching the disk, losing the disk, not being able to find a copy of the game you want, etc. You can just download it, and have it forever. I can see how having it forever could be a downside though.

So Steam lets you buy these games on a PC? Again, what's the point when you can play it on another console, in which way it doesn't take space off of your PC?
What if they don't have another console? What if the PC version has a lot more to it? What if they can't acquire a copy of the game they want for the console? What if they don't like their console? There are numerous reasons to want games for your PC. I believe the games are pretty much the same size (correct me if I'm wrong) as any PC game you would go out and buy, so if you buy computer games anyway, there's no difference.

But if I know anything about it, I'd say it's pretty much waste of time and money.

I haven't had Steam for very long, but it hasn't taken much time to set things up, and I haven't spent any money. I've downloaded Spiral Knights, TF2, and Terraria (last one was a prize).
