Grammatical rules are for the weak! IIRC, we were taught in school that you should never start a sentence with words like "but" or "and"... But I didn't listen.
I think that, if you have a good grasp of a language, you can tell what looks/sounds good, and should unconcern yourself with whatever some douchebag in a textbook decreed is the "right" way to construct a sentence.
