Really? Why?
Hmm. It's interesting that you say that, 'cause I felt the same way as Christiaan. I think it's because the site moves so slowly. If it were a hectic place with people posting D-Mods every day, maybe the staff would feel more pressure to keep things moving.
But having said that, I did feel slightly impatient when I thought my review hadn't been approved after a day or less, mostly because I wanted to be able to show Absolution that his D-Mod now had a review. It turned out it was rejected and I didn't know where to look to find that out, but it worked out in the end.
Skull, and every other member, for that matter, has a right to express their opinion about the affairs and management for their passion(Read: Dink Smallwood)
Very true. And Christiaan has a right to express his disinterest in those opinions.
I also think Christiaan has a right to make his personal life a higher priority than his mod duties here. Sometimes important offline stuff just happens, you know? And you have to take care of it and not worry about your hobbies for the moment.
If we want staffers not to have personal lives or to never make them more important than the DN, then we should convince redink or whoever of that, or we should vote on some rules along those lines, depending on how this site is run. In effect, that's what Skull is doing, even though he didn't say, "Let's establish some criteria for evaluating staffers."
I personally don't care who's in charge, as long as they're not tyrants. Well, if the site came to a standstill with nothing being approved, that would be a problem too. I'm just thinking out loud to clarify what's happening in this thread, because it interests me.
