If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
When you say icon, you don't mean an actual .ICO file do you? Disregard this if you do.
In PSP, on the colors menu you'll find "Set Palette Tranparency". Set that to the background color of the image. Then the key is to save it as either .GIF or .PNG format image.
