I actually agree with you IvanMZ.. but I think they can keep it anyway, cuz:
1. The copyright: The user may have the copyright. If an author says "I don't want it distributed anymore", people would have to follow that, usually... but..
2. End User License Agreement: Most dmod authors does not write an EULA. If you look in most EULAs, they say that you have to agree to it to use the product. It usually also says that if the author don't want the thing distributed anymore, all users who have the thing has to delete their copy when the author terminates the license. But, since an EULA isn't distributed, that won't happen. At least I think it works that way. (What else would be the use of the EULA?
