Wow. What a great movie. I just saw it yesterday. Fight Club was once my undisputed favorite movie, but American Beauty is just...beautiful. A few friends and I were bored after a day of nothing, so we decided to rent a movie. None of us had seen American Beauty, but we all heard really good reviews of it. So we went to Blockbuster to pick it up, and we went to my house to pop it in. After the first 10, no 5, minutes, I was hooked. After we finished the movie, we remained silent for 10 minutes. I smiled for the rest of that day, and let somebody fall asleep in my arms later that night. Which by the way, are very rare occurances.
