mmmmm I never actually thought about every one's speech being backwards, i was sort of going for this:
If someone wanted to say: Hello, I think you are cool, do you want to hang with me
It would instead come out like: Goodbye, you suck, I don't want anything to do with you.
In either case Dink doesn't understand anyone untill he gets a certain object that allows him to talk to the village people
