Hmm.. well the old dplay.exe wasn't
made to use the divx codecs. Yes it
could be done with direct x, and
with a newer version written for
dplay.exe you could make use
of the divx codecs. It shouldn't
be exceedingly difficult to do.
Knowledge in doing audio and video
decoding using either direct x or
openGL would be good. Having the
time to write the program is a
different story, I finally have a
chance this week to sit down and
have a little fun before getting back
to work. I have a large software
project to work on right now as it
is so I couldn't be much help. Good
luck redink. The best way to do
it since you aren't going to get
your hand on the source code for the
dink engine the best idea would be
to use the program to run the movie
and then run dink.
