No, it is because of people don't want to see other people flaming another one.
Here's how flaming goes:
1) 2 guys flame eachother
2) Other dudes try to make them stop
3)When they (usually) don't stop, other people start flaming THEM
4)Then more and more people join the flaming
5)Go back to 2
