SNES console itself may have been discontinued like many others, but there's an emulator software for lots of different consoles if you can get some of them working.
ePSXe, a Playstation emu for example, requires a bunch of driver files for example to play actual Playstation CD's or iso image files.
SNES doesn't have any requirements that I can remember, but then again it's been ages since I installed it.
SNES9x Emulator's actually how I got to play a ton of the older games that became some of my all-time favorites, like Final Fantasy V and Breath of Fire 2 (you may know my nickname takes from Exdeath FFV, and Deathevn BoF2). Thanks go to my cousin for sending me the SNES emu +games.
Anyway, If Deathevn got a complete 3d remake, he'd look like a horror from beyond nightmares.
