You're kidding right Krisknox? Global warming doesn't necessarily have to do with your area becoming warmer. In fact, the result may be that your location's temperature may drop 15 degrees in the future. It's called GLOBAL because the general, average, global temperature rises. The worst effect is that the polar ice is melting, which puts a huge amount of extra water into the ocean. The temperature of the ocean water changes, altering the flows of water. These flows control the majority of the climate and winds. It's a very real danger, and we won't see the direct effects until a while into the future, but looking at the average amount of hurricanes, tsunamis, desert forming, floods, ... you'd have to be an idiot to think it's an elaborate prank.
