Okay... the annoying "new" yellow labels. I know cookies track my visits to the DN... but there is a difference between IE 5.x and ie 6.x. My laptop which runs WinME and IE 6 with SP1 (boy do I ever regret that, phew... something is corrupted at a level that good old WinME cant repair and I'm lucky to get 10 minutes on the internet before IE decides all websites can't be found, mail don't work and ftp is up the spout) - back to IE 6.x - I can set cookies at various levels, but no matter what I do... I always have to relog in to the DN if I'm on my laptop. I've set the privacy settings to allow all cookies on both rpgplanet.com and gamespy.com but this still hasn't fixed the annoying "new" graphics. So I'm assuming the cookie on my laptop just aint cutting it... (I do need a decent cookie cutter).

Anyway... onto my old Desktop (good old Pentium 200 MMX that clocks thru slowly but surely). This is Win95 with IE 5.00xx something and there is only one cookie setting, on or off (gotta love binary stuff). Here I'm logged in every time I jump to the DN, and here the "new" things disappear - if I make a new post, rather than if I read a post (and even curiouser (sp?) posts I actually haven't read get maked as read as soon as I make a post in another forum). [EDIT MODE ON] Well make that if I read a post, go away... visit a new site (say the Dink Store) come back and posts I've read actually lose their new status... I just wish they'd do it immediately after I've read it, and any posts I make should not be new - to me as I read them as I wrote them... if you get my drift. [/EDIT MODE OFF]

Can anyone explain this all to me...?

Oh... and I haven't done anything new in Necromancer, in case you were wondering - call me lazy.
