Good question, yes you do. So you'll have to defeat it in one visit.
Since you're asking nicely now
here's an extra bit of info, the beast (Bonca) has 35 hitpoints. So you can count up the damage you're doing to it and get some idea how close you're getting.
And of course if it's too hard you can always go kill pill bugs until you gain a level.
