Can't find the whrilpool, in the walkthrough it say you need honor at 18 and luck 16 to make the whrilpool show up.

well my luck is at 42 and honor at 26, Talked to people in the town and they say the whrilpool is to the south and west. head that way and still don't see it.

Could it be that i still have unfinished biz in the town. Can't find the cup for the first knight

with the intials J. A. on does any body know where to find that also Stuck on the high seas

Have you been back to One Tree Island and has the One Tree said you are honourable enough? If so the whirlpool will appear in the South West oceans.

Cup of J.A. is in a cave under a dolmen, use a bomb.

where can I get a bomb?

You can buy bombs at the land of punz, I think you can´t turn back once you get into the dark woods/forest, the only thing you can do is to load a save where you can find yourself in punz again
