is it normal that when u test ur dmod like on beginning that there is no line with life, stats, money and exp?

Yeah... You need to do

&update_status = 1;
draw_status();

to get the status bar up.

In start-1.c, when the game begins. Though you could also delay it till after the intro, which would likely be in some other file but I won't make things too difficult here
