in the beginning of the game, when you burn down the trees and find a hidden hut, there's a letter about three luck potions that are hidden. I can't find them anywhere though, can someone point me in the right direction?

I don't think there are any around there, but as you progress through the rest of the game, you will find some...but not near that house or in that area

Look at the books in the hut and find one that is strange... then punch it.
