Developement stuff for outlander

It's been a good two or three months since I've worked on Outlander, so I did a little mapping. My main excuse for procrastinating seems to be that the program I use for graphics isn't working for me. So hopefully everything will work and it will be finished by the end of summer. I've been attempting to send the most recent version to milobones for beta-ing, but hotmail seems to think it's a virus. Meh.

Anyway, there's a few things that have changed since the demo. Among them, I've added a large, very messily-scripted system for difficulty. The thing is, there are dozens of secret extremely powerful items hidden around the map. And also super-cool magics. But with them, you'd just kick everything's ass. So the more super-weapons and abilities you have, the stronger the enemies. And also, a lot of spells are more powerful depending on your magic level. I've also added a few new monsters, and some new pretty tiles. The plot is still kinda crappy at this point, but at a couple different moments the plot takes one of two or three turns, so you'll end up with a different outcome. And some more stuff.

So anyways, I'm not dead yet, and I'll write some more when it's further in developement.

Cool. I didn't play the demo, but it sounds great. Can't wait to play this DMOD.
