The Dink Network

Today is Missdink's birthday but it is not a very nice day. Our rabbit named SNUFJE is sick. We took him to the vet. And he said there is not much hope for him. But I really love that rabbit it is so little and white and he is a dwarf rabbit. Every evening when I go to bed I say to sleep well and see you tomorrow. He always walks free in our house and now I had to leave at the vet. I REALLY don't like that. The vet told us to call him tonight at 21.30 hour to hear of the rabbit will make it or not. His body temperature now is 34 C but it has to be 39 C.
So cross thumbs and let it be a healthy rabbit.

That's a cute name. I hope he survives...

Outliving your pets is painful... and quite frankly, always happens. It's a cruel world.

My mom jumped in front of a car to save a random dog... She has also never been able to watch "Homeward Bound" or in fact any movie with animals that have the slightest chance of getting hurt, I am not kidding she locked her self in her room after watching Bambi. And it scares me to think I share genes with this woman... irk

But yeah I had a pet rabbit that died just recently of old age basically, had her for about...6 or 7 yrr which I think is old for a rabbit I am not sure. Hope yours turns out fine

I probably should because she threw away my first copy of Super Mario Bros for snes when I was 10 saying that it was teaching me to be cruel to animals... Luckily my dad bought me a new one and it was just our little secret... I loved that game...

He didn't make it guys.

I did not know that that little white fellow meant so much for me. He is gone for one day now and I am still sad.
We cleaned all his stuff and putted in the basement. But when I did it I feeled horrible.
I miss the little rabbit a lot.

What did he die of and how old was he? try thinking the bright side of things, at least you don't have to clean the shoot all over the house anymore...

The vet said that he couldn't eat no more because his stomach was full and he couldn't digest his food so he had a lot of pain. Because all that food started to ferment.

The little fellow was only two years old if he didn't get sick he could live for years. But when a rabbit gets this kind of sickness a vet can't help him much more. It is most of the time to late. Because you cannot see of a rabbit is sick or not.

He didn't do his needs in our house he only did it in his cage. He always was walking around in the house but he was doing his thing in his cage.
That's why I loved my rabbit. And I was always playing with him.

But I am thinking of the bright side of things but I still do miss him. But the days will help me to give it a better place.

My rabbit did about the same thing, she stopped eating and drinking and the only way she would was if you hand fed her, but she was like 7 or something so it was probably just her time.

Sorry bout your rabbit though I know its hard cleaning afterwards, mine lived in my back yard but mostly stayed on the back porche, but I stilled was with her everyday and even slept out there a couple of times...

Yes, It is hard. But I am 27 and I didn't see in advance that it was this hard when my little SNUFJE died.

I installed his toys next to my computer. The rest of his stuff like food and his cage etc. are gone now. His cage has been putted in the basement and his food etc. I gave it to my collegue he has rabbits to.
