Which programs do you use to create new sprites?

To create new sprites (from scratch) you will more than likely need a 3D graphics program.

I use blender.

And then a Paint program to convert to 256 Dink colours and add the shadow - I use Paint Shop Pro.

I tried to use blender. But I can't figure out how it is working.

I guess it is not easy to work with it.

Here's some sort of a tutorial. I haven't tried it though.
